SEDGEWOOD Customer Experiences with wireless Internet Providers
These customer experience comments about wireless internet providers have been gathered from Sedgewood Facebook comments made within the past 6 months.
The objective is not to recommend any particular vendor, but rather to collate real life customer experience from our Sedgewood neighbors that may help you decide if wireless internet is an alternative to your current provider.
If you choose to switch to one of these providers there is no guarantee that your experience will be the same. Typically there is a short trial window where you can return the device and cancel the service. Make sure you have that option before signing up.
Consider these comments as an alternative to potentially biased testimonials on vendor websites and reviews from customers outside of our area

I was convinced by Verizon wireless a year ago to try it for free. I received the box, spent some time hooking everything up with my Wi-Fi device and started using the TV and other devices like normal. It would work but everything I selected on the TV to watch took a little bit of time to load. Now once it loaded it was fine. However, once the kids got home and were on their devices....it went terribly slow. I called Verizon and told them I tried it and wanted to return it. They asked me why and I told them due to the speed. The tech was confused at the download speed was so slow. He looked at the map and said we should have the ultra wide band 5G, then he paused and zoomed in on the map where I live and said ah....I see. He then said I must live in a heavily wooded or low area because he saw the map change color to represent the standard 5G service. He then said yup, you just cannot benefit from our service. So back to Spectrum and all the problems that come with them. Spectrum is a great Internet service provider....just when it works.
We switched to Verizon about a year ago and we have an extender (for an extra $10) that’s intended to boost the signal. We have tvs on 3 levels and it works pretty good. And the service is definitely better than spectrum. If u consider looking into it I would use the powdersville store and not the Easley location next to QT.
AT& T air was the best for us we are former Verizon customers.
My cell service is Verizon. Not a good signal, you'll need a booster. I work from home and have AT&T. Very happy .
We tried AT&T even with high speed it was slow and glitchy! Ugh
We have AT&T Air. No problems.
Switched to AT&T Air. Freedom from Spectrum. So glad.
I've had major success with At&t internet air.
We're loving AT&T. It's a good price, too
We must have stitched to AT&T we’ve been down this road before and switched back to Spectrum, but this has been frusterating!. We will see how AT&T is this time.
We also switched after the hurricane last year. On AT& T, $60. Per month . It's been awesone.
AT&T Air sounds good & some family has it BUT they just got a big price increase starting November!
We use ATT Air and we stream 3 channels . Still cheaper than cable.
I work from home, ATT Air has been awesome. No problems.
we went to AT&T right after Helene, no issues at all. Have not had one outage
We also switched after the hurricane last year. On AT& T, $60. Per month . It's been awesone.
TMOBILE I use to have it and had no problems. The only reason I changed was because the rest of my family had Verizon and it was cheaper if I had Verizon too.
TMOBILE has been good occasionally slow because of heavy internet times it has never went down and we have had it for several years once and awhile I have reset it since our cameras are also connected to it and our wireless computer and printer. I have it set close to a window for best reception
Our daughter has it TMOBILE and lives around the corner, she hasn’t had a problems with it. So far it’s good and her bill is $35 month.
I’ve heard nothing but bad service with TMOBILE. Sorry
STARLINK $120. We got tired of Spectrum always going out. We haven't had any issues with Starlink, yes it's more expensive but we don't have to worry about losing our signal.
